Essential Oils

Work has been crazy all week and I think I’m getting sick. One of the girls in the office is sick and I used the computer she was on the day before. I slept for 11 hours last night, but didn’t really feel like I slept because I was dreaming the whole time. 😩

I’m glad I got into essential oils. They help a lot… and even if I don’t feel like they’re helping, it smells nice 😊 I bought a little diffuser for my desk at work and everyone loves it.

I’ve been a little stressed lately… Okay, stressing a lot lately. About work, money and life in general. What I like about my job is that I can leave work and not worry about any projects. With my last job, I was always bringing projects home and working off the clock πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ I like the paychecks and the people I work with. I’ve been thinking about picking up a part time job because I’m getting braces (again!) And this time I have to pay for it and I don’t get orthodontic coverage through my dental insurance. πŸ‘ŽπŸ½ I talked to one of my best friends and she suggested I focus on my photography. And that is what I am going to do 😊

Happy Fall

Hello October!

I’ve been waiting for fall to arrive. It is my #1 favorite season. I love the colors, how leaves crunch beneath my boots, wearing scarves and thick coats, and filling my tummy with warm soup.

It snowed a little bit this weekend. I was a little disappointed. I hope we can actually have a fall this year.

I feel like fall is when I become even more motivated to get things done- both short term and long term goals. But right now, I am having a hard time labeling my goals say “short” or “long” term.

I finally convinced my boyfriend to let us get an Instant Pot (I had help from friends who are IP owners and also showed him YouTube videos). And since we’ve had it, we’ve been eating in more. The thought of eating out isn’t that appetizing at all. πŸ™ƒ So far, we have made beef stew, lemon chicken, teriyaki chicken, spaghetti, chicken alfredo, chili Verde, sausage gravy, and chicken salsa soup!

This weekend we are having a little Halloween party and plan to make dinner with the IP. My friend is bringing hers over that way we can have two different dinner options. I believe we are making chili and the chicken salsa soup. Besides dinner, we are going to carve pumpkins and watch a Halloween movie- perhaps Hocus Pocus or Edward Scissorhands!?

I had a coffee date with one of my best friends today. I hadn’t seen her since July and haven’t really spoken with her either until yesterday. We’ve been too busy, but it was so nice catching up. I always go home feeling very good about my life and inspired to do better. She always has such nice things to say and she opens my eyes and mind when I’m feeling down.

She’s going to model for me because I need to update my portfolio- plus it’ll be her 29th birthday next weekend, so it’ll be a little nice gift from me and to herself πŸ˜€

2018 Goals.



Let’s see…

Read more books. I had this on my list last year and did not do well. But this year I plan to read, at least one book a month. Perhaps, I will do a review on each book.

Blog more. This is always near the top of my list. Sometimes I have to be careful when it comes to blogging because I don’t want to overshare things.

Be healthy. Well, this is another one that is always near the top of my list. There are many different departments with this one.

  • Exercise. I need to get to the gym. It’s been hard because I am always tired. I know that exercising will help with stress and give me that extra boost when I am tired. But it is so easy to not do it.
  • Eat healthy. Since living with my boyfriend, I have been more mindful about what I eat. I am always craving a salad, but most of the time I don’t feed that hunger (which is absolutely dumb!).I have been debating if I want to try going a diet (he’s against them): the Paleo diet, Keto diet, or go vegetarian. I have also thought about going gluten free (I’ve done it for a month or so before and it worked for me) or on a low carb diet.Being on a diet is hard for me. Usually it is because of a hectic work schedule. But now that I have a set M-F schedule, it should be easier– it is not. I work front desk, so there is less movement than I did at my last job, my office is not too far from the coffee shop, and I can go there whenever I want. Trying to slowly cut out lattes.
  • Go natural.Β Sometime last year, I was at the grocery store. I love stopping by the community and looking at the flyers and business cards that are left. I sometimes leave a few of my business cards up there. This one day, I happen to come across a flyer about essential oils. They were hosting a class and thought it would’ve been fun to go with my best friend, Misty. She’s the first one to introduce me to essential oils and peak my interest. I followed the Facebook page. Later down the road, Sierra and I became friends. Anyway, she introduced me Young Living awhile back and I am just now taking it more seriously.

Study more.
This past semester was tough. I absolutely hate Statistics. I do not want to spend the whole semester tying to keep my head above water.

Be more social/active. I am a quiet person, and I keep close to those I trust. But I do need to get out and make new friends, experience different things, and gain new hobbies.
